SPRING is truly the best time here in Wilmington. The full humidity hasn't set in, you can leave your doors open, and the sun is shining.

Makes you want to deep clean your windows and go buy lemon cleaner.

Potato Farmers Wife is currently 6 weeks away from another baby. Let me just say in the 9 months of pregnancy, there are certain weeks that are rated higher in the misery. The following graph illustrates this.

The reason why I like the last phase is because its the home stretch! People ask how much longer and they don't look surprised, or take a deep breath. Its like the last month of school, is anyone even learning or are we just making summer plans?

Anytime the pregnant belly is an inconvenience its like, oh well just a few weeks to go.

I did recently have a pregnancy revelation. I was listening to a podcast where they had a hypnotist on, and he talked about the power of suggestion and how we are so susceptible to what we are told. And I realized we pregnant women are ALWAYS being told we should feel miserable.

On the Baby week app, there's a section for Your Body. And every time I click on it, its like fatigue, nausea, bleeding gums, dry skin, stretch marks, heavy narcotics usage, and gambling addictions. Basically- YOU SHOULD FEEL MISERY RIGHT NOW

Never have I looked on there and its like oh by the way, your body has 30% more blood flow, you have all these extra hormones, organs and cells because you are creating life!! How cool is that?

Its like nah negative negative negative.

So I've been doing a little self talk where I tell myself, I feel good, I feel full of energy and zest for life, and you know? It does make a difference. Some of the time anyways.

Or maybe its just springtime energy I'm feeling. I don't know.

Obviously I'm not unaware that pregnancy is hard, and does come with a variety pack of aches, pains, and anguish - however Women statistically DO live longer than men and we are the ones who do the childbearing. So it must not be so bad for us in the long run.

In other news, Cora turned 1 this April.

She still weighs 28 lbs but is only 80% on the weight chart at the doctors, instead of 99%. She has started crawling but still demands to be carried around.

We are going to celebrate when she starts walking with much more fanfare than her birthday. So many problems throughout the day are when Avery and Thomas are running or biking and Cora is pointing and crying and just wanting to keep up.

Her personality is starting to come out more and I had originally thought she would just be a easy and chill kid, but no. She has many demands, she hits and shoves anyone in her way, and is very persistent.

Cora's spirit animal

She can hear the crack of a LaCroix can opening from a 30 yard radius, and instantly crawls over and demands the contents. An exhausting battle ensues, usually with Cora victorious and waterboarding herself with the drink.

Nothing else except I did buy this cute hanging basket and it has changed my life.

That is all, thank you.

We'll be back again when the next baby comes.

Love peace happiness,

Potato Farmers Wife
