We didn't end up camping last week because Hurricane Debby is sweeping her way up the coast and causing A TON of rain in our area. Oh well, hurricanes always bring some excitement and an excuse to skip work.

HOMEMAKING TIP OF THE WEEK:

Instead of just putting flowers in one big vase, split them up into small arrangements. These can go in bathrooms and different surfaces around the house. Nothing brightens up a room like fresh flowers

GROCERY BUDGET TIP OF THE WEEK: If you run out of your WIC benefits for baby formula cause you're baby is so chunky and consumes a lot, call their doctor. A lot of times they have extra formula to pick up.

CHEAP RECIPE OF THE WEEK: Hummus. This stuff is so cheap to make at home. Its basically refried beans greek style but way more expensive to buy. To make, just blend 2 cans chickpeas with 1/2 cup tahini (ground sesame seeds) some olive oil, and spices.

the recipe I like is here, except I often make it without the chili paste and it is still delicious.

MEAL PLAN OF THE WEEK:

I will be using Hopes Table recipes for Monday, Wednesday and Food From the Heart recipes for Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, but I put links in for similar recipes.

Here is the grocery list for this week. All the recipes are color coded in case you want to swap one out.
