Sunday Lunch Company 7.28.2024

 In my opinion, after church lunch company is the most stress full type of company to have. Everyone shows up very hungry, needing a lot of food and NOW. You can hear all the stomach rumblings as you stressfully eyeball the amount of food there is and wonder if it will be enough. It is not the type of meal where if there isn't enough oh well we can all move on. No, there needs to be an asterisk and obelix feast ready to eat. 

TIP OF THE WEEK: Costco has the answer for everything. Ask and you shall receive.

MYSTERY PLANT OF THE WEEK:

The flowers open up during and after a rain and then close again. Originally a banana tree was transplanted here but this orange flowered plant has taken over.

UPLIFTING THING FOR OVERWHELMED MAMAS:

If your kids are bored and won't stop asking for snacks, try out this station. Sprinkle cornmeal or whatever you have in the pantry on a cookie sheet and let them drive trucks through it. Yes, there is some clean up, but its worth it.

MEAL PLAN FOR THE WEEK:

I'm just going with simple, if we end up with leftovers Sunday may substitute.
